RemovALL 610
normally takes about twelve hours to penetrate 10 layers of anti-fouling
paint when ambient temperatures are above 65°. Lower temperatures slow this
process. High temperatures will cause the product to dry out and stop working.
It may then become difficult to remove. You should you check the product
at least every 4 hours so that drying does not occur.
Once RemovALL 610 has begun to soften the paint, scrape off the layers using
a paint scraper. Some filler may soften and need minor repair during or
after the removal process, but most filler should return to its original
hardness. If the antifouling paint was originally applied over unsound epoxy,
RemovALL 610 may have removed this coating as well.
You should gather all
paint and debris for proper disposal. Although RemovALL 610 is fully biodegradable
the anti-fouling paint being removed may present a hazard. Always wear proper
safety equipment for eyes, face, hands and body when working in and around
potential hazards. If you are uncertain get professional advice or seek
assistance.

When the bulk of paint has been removed,
re-apply a thin layer of remover 5 to 10 mils (125 to 250 microns) over
the hull. Allow adequate time for the remover to work. Then, using a long
handled semi-stiff brush, thoroughly scrub the entire surface. This will
help mix the remaining paint residue with the remover, making it easier
to remove or wash off.
Once
all paint has been removed, power wash the hull until all the foam and slipperiness
of the product and paint is gone. Always do a second, final rinse to aid
the gel coat in returning to its original hardness and while effectively
cleansing the surface of any remaining product traces. Allow the surface
to dry out for a minimum 24 hours before repainting.
